Wafer Spring Check Valve
The double-disc structure of the check valve adopts two spring-loaded discs (half discs), which are hung on a hinge pin vertical in the centre. When the fluid starts to flow, the valve flap is opened by the resultant force (F) acting on the centre of the sealing surface. The reaction point of the spring support force (Fs) is located outside the centre of the disc surface so that the root of the disc opens first. This effectively avoids the friction on the sealing surface of the old conventional valve when the disc is opened. When the flow rate slows down, the torsion spring automatically reacts, causing the valve flap to close and approach the valve body and seat, reducing the closing stroke distance and time. When the fluid flows back, the valve disc gradually approaches the valve seat and the valve's dynamic response is greatly accelerated. This dramatically reduces the impact of water hammer, thereby achieving impact-free performance. When closing, the action of the spring force makes the top of the disc close first. This prevents the occurrence of biting and abrasion at the root of the valve flap so that the valve can maintain the integrity of the seal for a longer time.
