Once the electric globe valve is open, there is no contact between the seat and the sealing surface of the disc, so the mechanical wear of the sealing surface of the electric globe valve is less. Because most of the seats and discs of the electric globe valve are easier to repair or replace the sealing elements, it is not necessary to remove the entire valve from the pipeline, which is for valves and pipes. It is very suitable for welding lines into one body. The most obvious advantage is that in the process of opening and closing, the friction between the disc and the sealing surface of the valve body is smaller than that of the gate valve, so it is wearable. The opening height is generally only 1/4 of the diameter of the seat passageway, so it is much smaller than the gate valve. Usually there is only one sealing surface on the valve body and disc, which makes the manufacturing process better and easier to maintain. When the medium passes through such valves, the flow direction changes, so the flow resistance of the electric globe valve is higher than that of other valves.
Electric cut-off valve selection:
Electric globe valves are commonly used in electric Direct-through globe valves, electric throttle valves, electric angle globe valves, electric direct current globe valves, electric plunger globe valves, etc. In addition to electric throttle valves, other electric globe valves generally do not choose high pressure.
1. Angular electric globe valve; In angular electric globe valve, the fluid only needs to change direction once, so that the pressure drop through the valve is smaller than that of conventional electric globe valve.
2. DC electric globe valve; In DC or Y type electric globe valve, the flow path of the valve body is oblique to the main flow path, so the damage degree of the flow state is smaller than that of the conventional electric globe valve, so the pressure loss through the valve is also correspondingly smaller.
3. plunger type electric cut-off valve: this type of electric globe valve is a variant of conventional electric cut-off valve. In this valve, disc and valve seat are usually designed based on plunger principle. The valve disc is polished into a plunger connected with the valve stem, and the seal is realized by two elastic sealing rings sleeved on the plunger. The two elastic sealing rings are separated by a ring, and the sealing rings around the plunger are firmly pressed by the load applied on the valve cover by the cover nut.
Application of electric globe valves:
Electric globe valves, if used in high-pressure situations, are generally butt-welded connections, or electrically operated angular globe valves. Carbon steel or 304 stainless steel can be selected according to the material. If the temperature is relatively high, chromium-molybdenum steel or chromium-molybdenum-vanadium steel should be selected. Typically, J941Y-170V electric high temperature and high pressure cut-off valve is used in power plants.
