Classification and classification of globe valves

- Nov 09, 2018-

Globe valve, also known as shutoff valve, is one of the most widely used valves, mainly composed of valve body, disc, cover, stem and so on. The valve body and valve cover are bearing parts, and the disc and valve stem are internal parts. Globe valve is a closed valve (valve) moving along the center line of the valve. According to the moving form of the disc, the change of the valve seat opening is proportional to the valve stroke.

Classification of globe valves:

The cut-off valve is divided into right angle, straight through and direct current according to the structural form of the valve body.

1. The rectangular fluid only needs to change its direction once, so that the pressure drop through the valve is smaller than that of the conventional cut-off valve. The valve body is mostly used for forging, and is suitable for small closed and high pressure cut-off valves.

2. Straight-through is the most common structure. The inlet and outlet passage of the medium is 180 C in the same direction, but the resistance of the fluid is the greatest.

3. In direct current or Y-shaped globe valves, the flow passage of the valve body is oblique to the main flow passage, and the fluid resistance is small. It is mostly used for fluids with solid particles or high viscosity.
