Butterfly valve, also known as flip valve, is a simple structure control valve, which can be used for switch control of low-pressure pipeline media. Butterfly valve refers to a valve whose closing parts (disc or butterfly plate) are discs and rotate around the valve axis to open and close.

Valves can be used to control the flow of air, water, steam, various corrosive media, mud, oil, liquid metal and radioactive media. It mainly plays the role of cutting off and throttling in the pipeline. The opening and closing part of butterfly valve is a disc-shaped butterfly plate, which rotates around its own axis in the valve body to achieve the purpose of opening and closing or regulating.
